Oak Bark Leather
Our English Oak Bark Leather comes from world class tannery J & FJ Baker’s that only use hides from home-grown livestock on free-to-range farms. The leather is Full Grain meaning it may have natural imperfections, crease marks, small scars etc. as the finish is not ‘artificially corrected’ giving this beautiful leather its glorious, heritage patina. Each piece is truly unique and shows the animal had a real life outdoors.
Due to the all natural Oak Bark tanning process leather thicknesses and tone can vary from batch to batch. Most hides measure between 4-5mm.

Note:
The Oak Bark Leather we use is Full Grain meaning it may have natural imperfections, crease marks, small scars etc. as any imperfections are not artificially ‘corrected’ giving this beautiful leather its glorious, heritage patina. The tannery wax is left on the leather straps and is often referred to as ‘bloom’. The mix of all natural waxes and oils is put on the leather at the finishing stage of the tanning process and is there to protect and hydrate the leather. Don’t worry if your straps arrive looking ‘milky’ this natural wax can be buffed off with a brush and some quality leather balm or dubbin. The leather’s rich tone is hiding beneath..
All straps are cut by hand to as close to the listed widths. Small discrepancies in this natural product may occur.
